Hike the extremely scenic valley that takes you to one of the most picturesque places on the farm. You will find the 250 million year old fossil on the edge of a cliff and you will see Black eagles (Verreaux’s) nests in the cliff.

Join us for a day to explore the far reaches of Big Sky Country. We start out taking a drive past the Meerkat burrows as we drive to the foot of the valley where the hike starts. As you walk up the valley be on the lookout for the odd shy Kudu. On the cliffs alongside the river bed you will see the majestic Back Eagle nests.
OLIVE SCHREINER HIKE

Located on top of Buffelskop (between the farms of Orange Grove & Buffelshoek) is the place where author Olive Schreiner chose as her final resting place. In 1985 the land was declared a Provincial Heritage Site.
Start early in the morning and make your way up to the sarcophagus site where Olive Schreiner, husband Samuel Cronwright , unnamed baby, and dog Nita, was laid to rest.
You will soon see why the views looking over Orange Grove inspired her novels and why she chose this site for her burial.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
Visitors are welcome to head off on mountain bikes. The trails are unmarked and lead where your bike goes.
PICK YOUR OWN!
Bring the family & spend the day picking your own Pomegranates in our orchard (Feb - April). Aterwards be treated to a picnic of fine Karoo fare.
